NARG

Chris has had great success training horses and riders of all levels. Working with George Morris for 25 years developed not only his riding, but his teaching as well.

Results in the show ring begin with careful preparation at home. Training methods include a strong focus on proper flatwork for both horses and riders. Horses are trained using traditional methods along with the necessary time and patience so they become accepting and responsive to their riders' aids. Proper flatwork also develops strength and fitness in every horse. Students receive extensive flatwork training so they learn to properly exercise and school their horses, develop feeling and timing, and improve their style and position.

The training facilities at Va Pensiero (formerly Hunterdon), Chris' home base, provide a competitive advantage to the horses and riders. The Grand Prix field was designed by George Morris and includes various natural obstacles along with an assortment of other jumps. There are several outdoor arenas as well as an indoor, all with TravelRite footing. The range of areas to ride and the large variety of jumps ensure that horses and riders can be perfectly prepared for every show.

Chris Kappler Inc. is excited to announce the expansion of their training program to accommodate a broader range of horses and riders.  In addition to Chris, Michelle Huizenga and Sarah Segal are available for training and ship in lessons. We will also be expanding our show schedule to best fit the needs of our clients.  This includes adding shows closer to our home base in New Jersey. Michelle and Sarah can be reached at (908)782 -0126 or on their mobile phones at (360) 920-6768 for Michelle and (917)848-7250 for Sarah.
